Prevalence of fungi associated with seven wheat varieties and seed quality analysis

Seven varieties of wheat seeds, such as BARI Gom-25, Gom-26, Gom-27, Gom-28, Gom-29, Gom-30 and Kanchan were studied to determine the prevalence seedborne fungi their effects on germinating seeds seedlings. The categorized into apparently healthy black point shriveled undersized seeds. Variation in different parameters (viz.Grading, weight, purity percentage, germination seedling growth) became evident among varieties. Seed health test blotters agar plate method showed that major associated with Alternaria alternata, A. triticina, Bipolaris sorokiniana, B. tetramera, Curvularia lunata, Fusarium spp., species Aspergillus. incidence sorokiniana increased increasing severity infection. Reduction germination, emergence, plant stand, root shoot growth, vigor index directly related point. Aspergillus spp. seen more frequently non-germinated J. Biodivers. Conserv. Bioresour. High-Quality Draft Genome Sequences of Pantoea agglomerans Isolates Exhibiting Antagonistic Interactions with Wheat Seed-Associated Fungi
Pantoea agglomerans isolates 3 and 4 were retrieved from the bacterial community associated with wheat seeds. These isolates differ in their pattern of growth antagonism toward Alternaria species. A comparison of the genome sequences of these two isolates revealed a high sequence identity with previously sequenced strains of P. agglomerans.
